Day out

We went to a Hopper exhibit today and walked around a bit in the sunny weather...





And the happiest part of Erin's day? Buying the first package of baby diapers! Let's see how excited she'll be to use them...

Andy's kickball championship matches are tomorrow...(Sunday) and the whole city is abuzz!

Getting closer...

The last of the baby room preparations are coming along...we got the old chair slipcovered, and it looks like a whole new seat! That'll be a nice reading/feeding chair for little Smudge.

The crib is all decked out...

And Smudge has a little buddy under his crib eagerly awaiting his arrival...

And we also got the other couch upstairs slipcovered too. The house (or nest, as Erin likes to say!) is all ready and waiting for lil Smudge!

We can't wait to post pictures of Smudge, not all of our 'stuff', but until November 20, we'll just have to be patient!

Birthday Weekend

Erin's one request for her 30th birthday - to go to the Inn at Little Washington for dinner. Widely regarded as one of the top restaurants in the US, we splurged and went to the country for the weekend and made reservations at the Inn. In addition to having one of the best meals of our lives, we caught some great fall foliage in the mountains.

Weekend in Philly

For one of our last big 'events' before Smudge's arrival, we went to Philly for Erin's friend Melissa's wedding. It was a great time, lots of great food, fun and sightseeing. I'd never been to Philadelphia before and I was impressed! We saw the Liberty Bell, Ben Franklin's tomb and Betsy Ross' house...and in the giant hall where the wedding was, Mr. Franklin presided over the festivities. Very cool. Here's us - can you tell we had not one, but TWO naps before the wedding? We've got to enjoy it while we can!

Also in attendance at the after-party was Erin's friend Eryn's Baby! (That's not confusing) Here's Erin brushing up on her baby talk! And if you look closely, some guy in a green Puma shirt appears to be drinking a beer...only 1 foot from a baby. How irresponsible!

We're only about 5 weeks away now...and Smudge is a kicking fiend! We're getting so excited.

Great party!

It was a great party on Saturday night, thanks to all who were able to make it! We'll be posting pictures shortly.
Whoever sent us flowers (no name on them!), thank you very much! They were beautiful.
And yes, Curtis, we are naming our child Kang. Kang Baker. (Chewy was a close 2nd.)
