A little of this and that...

We've had a little bit of this and that here lately, including some layin' around...
And some playin' around.
Some jumpin' around...
And hangin' around!
Erin and Andy did some partyin' around, attending a fundraiser for Finn's school, "MadMen" themed!
And Finn got ready for some cold weather soccer!
And then a little post-soccer hide and seek!

Wyatt has really perfected his crawling techniques, except when a big brother comes from nowhere!

Just an average weekend in Bakertown...

Did a lot of yardwork on Saturday...these are the limbs and tree trash that came down in the big ice storm in January. Goodbye winter!
Finn had his first soccer practice on Sunday as part of "Soccer Tots" in Takoma Park! And no, the irony of Finn being on the sky blue team (ala the Carolina Tarheels) is not lost on me.
It's still a little chilly, so hoodie-under-the-jersey is still acceptable soccer gear!
Finn runs up the hill Rocky-style when the game was over!
Ready for School bright and early!
And the new exciting development in Bakertown - Wyatt is a full on crawler! He's movin' and groovin' all over the house!

Mommy and Me!

Finn and Mommy decided that Sunday would be a little one-on-one time together! So they saddled up and headed out - Finn even wore his new sneakers, notable only in that they were the first article of clothing that he's ever picked out for himself! Very exciting! (note blooming purple flowers - Spring is coming...)
They went...ice-skating! Here in DC, we try to avoid the 12 foot high snowdrifts and frozen ponds in 20 degree weather - we just high-tail it to downtown Silver Spring in 60 degree weather and hit the local rink!
Finn preferred sitting on the kiddie bucket to actually ice-skating.
Still sittin'. But isn't he cute?
As a reward for all that great sitting-on-buckets, he had some ice cream! One-on-one time with Mom = AWESOME!
Meanwhile, Wyatt and Daddy sat at home and stared at each other. Clearly...not as exciting.
Ok, we DID have fun. Then Finn and Wyatt had fun together playing hide and seek!

A weekend without Mommy...

Erin went away for a girls weekend, so we called for reinforcements - Grandma! We went to a cafe to meet with Charles and Paloma and Sebastian...
And had some sandwiches...see that bagel sandwich on the table that Wyatt's eying? About 2 seconds after this photo was snapped, the egg and cheese sandwich was on the floor!
We hit the playground for some swingin'...
And climbin'!
Wyatt shows off his slender physique and crawling skills...on the way to the tub.
We visited the Zoo and the amazingly adorable lion cubs...
And Finn did some relaxing on a bear sculpture.
Then he climbed on a giant tomato!
At home, Wyatt shows that being a ladies man only takes a good smile, not 6-pack abs.
Last stop on the itinerary - the building museum! Finn makes a wish in the fountain...
And checks out the airplanes and gliders on demonstration in the huge hall.

Thank you Grandma! We survived 72 hours without Mommy...barely.
