Smiley Sunday

Finn was all smiles earlier today! Lots of fun was had - he's getting so big every day! And he's getting stronger too. He likes to stand on our laps (with help, of course) and look around - he can support his head now, which is pretty cool!


Our little pork chop is continuing to gain weight, too which is great. Such a little cutie!
The new year is almost upon us, and we know it's going to be great. Fun with family and Finn is on our agenda for 08!

Grandparents, part Deux!

More Christmas visitors came to town! Erin's folks are in town for a visit and spent some time cuddling with the little guy...
Then Finn broke out his Christmas duds - and sang a rousing version of "Santa Baby" for everyone in attendance. It was pretty cool! He sure does look handsome in his Santa suit (a gift from Alma...Alma Chillrens) and it fits him perfectly.

Bath and a B'eve

The little stinker needed a bath, so in the morning we scrubbed him up good...he seemed to like the warm water - so much that he even added his own little shower in the tub!
"Take that, daddy!"Grandma and Jay came over with the Ostles for a Christmas B'eve (the day Before Christmas eve) party, and there was food and drink and lots of gazing into Finn's little blue eyes.
(And Barley did some fruitless begging.)
One day until Finn's first Christmas! The tree is decked out, looking very nice...

And Finn INSISTED on opening a present, so we finally relented (he has strong powers of persuasion) and Grandma gave him a new rocking horse with his very own name on it! (Painted Irish Kelly Green!) He loved it. Or maybe he was just farting. But he smiled!Merry Christmas!

Erin survived!

Throw your hands up in the air! Wave 'em around like you just don't care! Cause Erin did a great job home with Finn all week since Andy was back at work. Finn was a handful, but she persevered. He's also becoming a little pork chop, with several chins and a little more chunk to him overall, which is great.
This picture just made us laugh - Finn looks like a sleepy little chef!

Finn's big day out!

Finn started the day by getting ready to visit Mom's office.
Everyone loves a sharp dressed man. After selecting Teddy Bear suit, brown jacket and cute, knit hat (thanks Aunt Des!), Finn was set to go back to work.He met mom's friends Victoria and Brad.
Then, Finn told Mom very loudly that he was hungry. After eating, Finn pooped and Mom changed him on the mail room floor. Finn took the opportunity to pee on her jeans and spit up a little. When he was all dry, he was ready to go. Twenty minutes later, he pooped again.Then, he told Mom that he wanted to go home in his loud voice. His lungs sure got a workout! Home from the office, it was time for a nap with buddies Pelican and Lamb.

Soon, Dad came home and Finn had some Man Time.

Well that's life for the 'working man. Alls well that ends well.

Playtime!

Finn had some fun playing in/on/with (?) his "gyminee" (thanks Grandma!). It was really fun to watch him interact with the little toys and dangly things!

Some sharp dressed men!

Finn decided to wear his hair a little differently the other day, complete with a slick parted-down-the-center flair! He thought he looked pretty cool, so we took a picture of the little sprout...(It's also fun to speak in a little old man voice when looking at these pictures and say stuff like "Back in my day, if we only got a comb for christmas, we were happy! It has so many uses, like a pot scrubber or a soup stirrer!")

Andy's holiday party was Friday, with a "cult or classic movie" costume theme...seeing as how the Karate Kid (recently snubbed on the AFI 100 Greatest movies of all time list) is one of his favorite, it seemed appropriate. Watch out for the crane, it'll getcha'!Christmas is coming! We can't wait.

Finn goes to work...

Finn visited Andy's office today - and was greeted by a surprise welcome party! He seemed fairly unfazed by the entire affair, sleeping through most of it!



He did finally wake up for a few minutes...doing some thoughtful gazing...

After all the excitement, Finn went home again and had some quality Dad-time (Andy goes back to work on Monday so we're maximizing 'man-time')...Look at that smile!
Soon it was naptime next to his buddy Marky!Many, many thanks again to my thoughtful co-workers for all of their well-wishes, gifts, pizza and cake! It was a wonderful surprise for Erin and I to see how excited everyone was to meet Finn, and we had a good time getting out of the house and showing off our little guy.

Finn's 1st Christmas Tree!

Finn spent all day decorating the tree and baking cookies...


It's Andy's last week before he heads back to work, so it's a busy week with last holiday errands...plus, Finn visited his soon-to-be pals at his day care, and tomorrow we go to Andy's work to show off our little fella!
It's been a wonderful month, it's Finn's one month birthday today!

A case of the Mondays...

Finn had a relaxing day today...hanging out with Mom while Andy ran errands and got a christmas tree (which practically fell off the roof of the car while driving down the beltway).
Taking a nap in his car seat (his favorite place to sleep other than being held by us)...

Saturday night in Bakertown...

It started out as a nice quiet weekend in Bakertown. Yesterday, Finn went Xmas shopping and wore his best duds out in the city...wearing his "big boy" pants...That was followed by a few naps...
But then tonight, Spitzilla struck! Finn had his nightly dinner, then proceeded to spit up on SEVEN sets of clothes! Completely changed and ready to go SEVEN times! It was an active night for Spitzilla, and became completely humorous at some point...
Apparently he thought it was funny, too!
This picture was taken about 10 seconds before Spitzilla struck again...it's like you can see it in his eyes! Luckily, the big boy pants survived the attacks...
Let's try burping him before changing him! (that didn't work, either!)
Theo came for a visit, and Finn settled down a bit. Must be the calming influence of "Papa T."
The entire episode was pretty funny, and Finn went through what seemed like an entire load of laundry before he got his nighttime duds on.
All is well , just getting ready for Xmas...
