Tummy Time!

Doctor's orders: more tummy time for Finn! Tonight's tummy time was a big one for the little guy, as he lifted his head and turned around several times! I guess those two hour feedings (that's right!) have given him the strength of ten tiny infants...
(Doesn't Erin look amazing after so little sleep and so many feedings!?)


OH MY GOD! THE CAT ATE FINN!!!!!
...oh, wait, he's just really fat. The doctor apparently prescribed more "back time" for him.
Marky wants to add the following disclaimer:
"Objects may appear larger than normal when viewed from this angle."
After all that work, Finn sat down to read one of his Dad and Mom's favorite books, "The Snowy Day."
No, he's not picking his nose!

Bath Time!

Finn had a little sponge bath tonight using his frog towel from cousin Jake!And then a nice tight swaddlin' and Finn's ready to go!

Two week Dr. visit...

Finn had his two week visit to the Doctor's office to check in on the little fella...exciting news - he's back up to his birth weight of 8lbs, which is really good news - all that eating has paid off!
It's funny what passes for exciting news these days, and this certainly qualifies!
Finn was very well behaved in the office, sleeping through most of the visit...
mmmm...I so sleepy...
But sleepytimes didn't last long, as the dreaded blood test took place and the peacefulness came to an abrupt ending!
Anyway, all systems were go and now we're back home safe and sound.

Finn has begun to enjoy the nightlife - not quite realizing that nighttime is best for resting and day time is best for wakeful time! So it's been a long few nights in old Bakertown lately...

Thanksgiving Friday

It was a Punjabi Thanksgiving at the Baker house on Friday. The Ostles came by for a Finn visit and belated T-giving meal of our favorite Indian food!



The red-eye prevention didn't seem to work on that last pic...so no, Finn isn't a little devil, although we were starting to question that at 3 am when he wouldn't sleep!

Our little Thanksgiving Turkey!

Happy Thanksgiving! It's 70 degrees in DC again, and Finn is ready for Turkey day. Here are some of his thoughts:

"Daddy has a big thumb."
"But my hand is way more interesting."
"Like my cousin Ivy, I think Nakey time is fun!"
"Being in a onesie with Trucks on it is pretty cool too"
"dad, you're embarrassing me in front of my friends!"

"I like to watch football with my dad. I wonder why they're trying to keep me awake so much today?"
Hope everyone is having a great T-giving - we are giving thanks for Finn, and for long naps in the afternoon.

Finn meets more family...

Andy's Aunt Joanna and cousin Curtis stopped by for a Finn-visit!

Finn is doing very well, sleeping a lot, and eating even more (we think he's having a growth spurt, as he can't seem to get enough). Today was a really warm day, so we decided it was time for Finn's first outdoor adventure.

That's the news from Bakertown! Erin and I would also like to thank everyone for their warmth and generosity the last few days. We've gotten so many lovely notes, flowers, gifts and calls wishing us (and Finn) the very best. We appreciate it! It's great to know people are thinking of us and our new little bambino.
