A day at Ocean Park!

The Bakers took a trip to Ocean Park today - Hong Kong's #1 amusement park! It had lots of local flavor - and looked a bit like "Wallyworld" as we walked through the entrance...
The whole park occupies a cliffside area, with the lower part of the mountain being the first stop...
The first thing to visit - the red pandas! They sure were cute! Not as cute as these two, but pretty darn cute.

And then we saw the big pandas! They were very active, and hungry.

Next stop was the goldfish house. Here, Finn chats up the residents!

Then we took a ride on the merry-go-round. It was Finn's first time, and boy-howdy did he have fun!
A ride on the mini-ferris wheel failed to excite, though. Merry-go-rounds are a tough act to follow!
We stopped by the dolphin tank and they were getting their teeth brushed!
Then we took the cable cars across the mountain - it was an incredible ride! Along the steep cliff, with great views and our own private car.
Our first ride on the topside of the park was on the Ocean Tower, with great views of the park and ocean! Finn loved it...
Then we stopped at the sea lion house for a feeding...
Then went down to the tank to watch them swim...

Checked out the sharks in the big coral reef display...
Then we stopped for lunch! I had to post this picture - as Finn pops a squat in the corner. If only we'd had a potty! But at least he found a quiet, out of the way spot...
Then we checked out the jellyfish exhibit...
Near the end of our day, we went to the big dolphin show. For some reason, they played salsa music and we jammed out to "La Bamba!"
Soon, the show began - and the dolphins were jumpin'!
This was maybe one of the happiest moments in Finn's entire life! He thought that the dolphins jumping was awesome! He was literally trembling with excitement...
"Jump, dolphins, jump!"

We hopped back on the gondola and headed back to the bottom of the mountain again, with views across the harbor.
"Ocean Park, I love you!"
We all had a big smile on our face after a fun day in the sun...
So, let's celebrate with a kiss! Mmmmwaah!

The gondola comes back down the mountain as we head back towards the bus station...
And stopped for one last picture with the requisite silly mascot of Ocean Park!
We made it back safe and sound to our apartment and read a book before bedtime...

There you have it, a full day's adventure with the Bakers! Another splendid day.
